In the Joseon Dynasty, the kingdom was surrounded by a political vortex. Cheo-Seon was born as a posthumous child and immediately separated from his mother. He was raised by Weol-hwa and the old man Swe-gwi, who ran the eunuch school. When he meets So-hwa, the daughter of a powerful nobleman, he instantly falls in love with her. He voluntarily becomes a eunuch to be near So-hwa, and he is assigned to Cho Chi-gyeom, a senior eunuch. He enters the royal palace and sees King, Sung-Jong and So-hwa spend their first night together. He becomes the faithful protector of So-hwa. As the political battles between the courtesans and wives in the palace rage, King So-hwa becomes his queen and Cheo-Seon vows her faithful servant. But So-hwa is finally dethroned as a queen and leaves the palace in disgrace. Cheo-seon watches helplessly as these events unfold and secretly helps So-hwa. But in a cruel twist of fate, he is chosen to execute So-was's death sentence by serving her a bowlful of poison. After So-hwa dies, he takes care of her son, King Yeonsangun, as if he were his own son ...
