Kim Geun Tae is a former adviser to the Democratic United Party. When he was younger, he was a leader in the democracy movement during the autocratic rule of Korea. In September 1985, Kim Geun Tae is kidnapped and dragged into an anti-communist investigation room. The investigation room is located at the National Police Headquarters in Namyeong-dong, Seoul. He is being tortured by Lee Geun An for the next 22 days.
