A North Korean fisherman accidentally breaks his boat engine and drifts into South Korean territory, where he is picked up by border guards as a spy. After brutal investigations in the south, he is finally sent back to North Korea. Before leaving South Korea, he notices the dark side of his society in contrast to his "developed" image. There he realizes that economic development means no happiness for the people. Even though He makes it home again, he receives the same investigation as in the south. Then he meets a deep mourning, caught against his will in the ideology between the two divided countries.
