It all starts when Ka-hee (Hwang Ji-hyeon), an emotionally and mentally damaged woman, finds a spiritual medium to tackle her problems. Her inability to give birth to a child had tortured her for a long time, and now she will do anything to outwit that fate.
She buries and kills an orphan in a large traditional pot in which kimchi is buried underground in winter. What does she win for it? merciless act is its own child. Ka-hee finally gives birth to a son whom she calls Bin, but Ka-hee soon suffers a brutal death.
The film continues when Bin's Aunt Sunny (Han Eun-jeong) and her husband Jang-hwan (Park Seong-min) live with the now orphaned Bin in his home, which is haunted by ghosts and where the pot is still located. Bin also shows his violent side.
