Choi Seok, a historian, is raising Jeong Im after her parents have died. However, when her gratitude turns into feelings for him, he is criticized and leaves school. When Jeong Im is hospitalized, he gives her a sum of money and goes to Hokaido, Japan. When Jeong Im finds out the truth, she and Oh Jin Woo, an admirer of hers, go to Choi Seok, who is now fighting a brain tumor.
