The sudden death of her mother brings Myeong-eun back to Jeju Island. There she meets her sister Myeong-ju and her daughter Seung-a, who still lives in her old home, and Hyeon-a, who has been living with them as relatives for more than 20 years. With her father's absence and her complexity of being an illegitimate child, Myeongeun tells Hyeon-a that she will look for her father after the funeral. Myeong-Ju accompanied her sister because of Hyeon-a's conviction and her sense of duty as an older sibling.
