A patriotic hero, Lee Han Pil has a son and a daughter, Hyung Guk and Jin. Jin is in love with her brother's friend Dong Pil. One day, due to a fight with Japanese students at a cafe, Murada tries to kill Hyung Guk's family but fails. When Hyung Guk finds his father's dead body lying at home, he bombs Murada's house. Murada's right arm, Kenko, confiscates Hyung Guk's house and makes Dong Pil marry Bae's daughter. Jin wanders in pain and ends up at a bar. Hyung Guk comes back disguised as a master mariner and reunites with his sister, but she dies at their father's grave. He blames Dong Pil and he falls on the ground with regrets.
