A young Korean taekwondo competitor arrives in Japan towards the end of World War II hoping to become a fighter pilot, but ends up on the street against racism, organized crime, the occupation of American soldiers and his own fear of failure as a martial artist. He retreats to the wild for two years to train his body in the art of karate and returns to conquer the world.
