Seoul, today. Ten-year-old Yeon-joo is picked up outside the school by a man who says he knows her mother, and then drives to an apartment where she is sexually abused. Six hours later, her mother Yoon Young-nam reports the police to her disappearance. She says it's too early to start a proper investigation. Yeon-joo is found in a suitcase on the street and taken to a hospital from Yoon and recovering; Yoons ex-husband, TV celebrity dentist Lee, however, is not happy with the negative publicity that Yoon has triggered through his actions. Finally, Yoon persuades a busy detective, Ma, to be interested in the case; He asks Yeon-joo at the hospital, but the child reveals little. Later, a policewoman asks her more successfully. Angry at the apparent slowness with which the police deal with the case, Yoon follows the child molester himself and confronts him in his apartment. After a fight and a chase, the police arrive and bring both in, even though the child molester is on the way. Yoon decides to take more radical action ...
