A famous film director arrives in a small town to finish his screenplay. He sits in his motel in front of his computer, but can not write anything. The director orders coffee in his room and then complains to the delivery girl of his writer's block. The delivery girl then tells the director the story of "Romance Joe".
Popular actress Woo Joo Hyun committed suicide while Romance Joe worked as an assistant director on the set. Romance Joe hears Woo Joo Hyun's suicide and decides to quit his job. He begins to think about suicide. Romance Joe then goes back to his hometown and meets someone he may be close to.
