Bok Nyeo gets married to a poor Joseon's aristrocart and lives a hard life to survive. She pays her family's living by catching caterpillars in a forest reserve. But she loses her job in the reserve and her husband disappears after borrowing money from a Chinese. In order to repay the husband's debt to the Chinese, she works in his vegetable farm. Later her husband comes back and suspects Bok Nyeo and the Chinese might have had an affair. He tries to kill him only to be killed.
