Sang-wu is sent to jail for political demonstration. Hyun-min and Yong-gyu are very excited. Yong-gyu falls in love with Yu-jin. Despite the opposition of her parents, they marry Hyun-min as a witness. After her honeymoon, Yong-gyu is killed in a car accident. Yu-jin is pregnant with Yong-gyu's baby and is going to America to continue her studies. Hyun-min, who has always loved Yu-jin, becomes dull and later marries a prostitute named Hye-jin.
