Synopsis Korean Movie The Yellow Sea

On the Chinese side of the border between China, Russia and North Korea in Yanbian, the Autonomous Prefecture of Korea, Ku-Nam is fighting its days as a taxi driver. If he does not work, he is often found in the arcades. Ku-Nam is now seriously in debt. His wife moved to South Korea and promised to send money back. He still has to hear from her and is tormented by nightmares that have one extramarital affair. Ku-Nam is dismissed from his job and debt collector collects most of his wages.

Dog seller and underworld criminal Myung-Ga offers him a deal. If Ku-Nam goes to South Korea and successfully hits, he will receive ¥ 57,000 ($ 10,000). Ku-Nam accepts the deal and travels to Korea on a shaky fishing boat for $ 500.

When Ku-Nam arrives in South Korea, he considers his destination for days and at the same time searches for his wife. When it's time for Ku-Nam to eliminate his target, there are a series of unexpected events that make Ku-Nam desperate for a way out.
