Synopsis Korean Movie Miracle in Cell No. 7

Lee Yong Gu is a mentally retarded father with the intellect of a six-year-old who lives in a rundown house with his same-age daughter, Ye Seung. One day he gets into an argument with the police commissioner, who has just bought the last Sailor Moon backpack for his daughter. A gift that Yong Gu wanted to save for Ye Seung. Soon after, the daughter of the police commissioner dies in an unusual accident while she takes Yong Gu to another store where the same backpack is sold. When he tries to revive her, he is witnessed by a woman and misunderstood for molesting her. Yong Gu is falsely accused of kidnapping, murdering and raping a minor. The police quickly exploit his disability and force him to admit that he has committed the crime while ignoring the release of evidence. Yong Gu is detained and assigned to cell No. 7, the hardest cell in a jail with maximum security.
