City Hall is a drama that deals with politics in a romantic comedy genre. It's about the happenings between a young mayor and an elite bureaucrat. Jo Gook is a very smart government official. He quickly passed the higher civil service and is basically the perfect guy.
But being deputy mayor is not enough for him. He lives with the dream of becoming South Korea's president. He should have it easy straight up, but due to an unexpected incident, he is deposed as deputy mayor for a small town in the province of Inju, where Shin Mi Rae works.
Shin Mi Rae is a low-ranking secretary in Inju, but she's working her way up to become the youngest city mayor. When their paths meet, they have to deal with their personal and social differences. But will they end up in the arms of each other despite their constant quarrels?
