"One Shining Day" is a digital omnibus feature commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Independence Day of Korea. Three young Korean filmmakers show a closer relationship between Korea and Japan with their own vision.
Segment 1 - The Treasure Island (Director: Kim Sung-ho): Mie comes looking for a souvenir to Korea that her grandpa left behind when he returned to Japan from Jeju Island for the liberation from Korea. you and Her friend Eiko meets different Koreans on her trip to Jeju Island. One day they are threatened by hooligans, but they find the way out of the dangerous situation. The trip to Jeju Island makes two Japanese girls realize what their friends are good at in difficult times and find out who they really are.
Segment 2 - Goodbye (Director: Kim Jong-kwan): Jong-hwan uses a laptop computer to trick fraudsters into earning money for meetings with his mother, who lives in Japan. He is a kind of troublemaker at home and even at school, but still risks a dangerous fraud and looks forward to the reunification of his mother and child.
Segment 3 - The Beautiful Strangers (towards Min Dong-Hyun): When Ishida arrives at the airport, he runs to catch the flight to Japan. In the end, he misses his flight by bumping into go-ny and working in a duty-free shop at the airport. After a while, they meet again at the airport and spend time together. It is a story about a conversation between two people from different countries and different languages.
