In spring 1992, Kim Dong-won, the director of the film, met two long-time political prisoners who were accused of being Communist spies from North Korea. During their 30 years in prison, the prisoners never gave up their ties to communism and North Korea. When they were finally released from prison, they lived in Kim's neighborhood and he came very close to one of the prisoners, the Cho Chang son. Kim's film documents The former prisoners return to Korean society and fight for their repatriation.
