Synopsis Korean Drama Can You Hear My Heart

Family relationships can be complicated and tortured. Bong Woo Ri is a loving, obedient daughter who does her best to satisfy the needs of her deaf mother and her mentally handicapped stepfather. After a tragedy that casts a spell on her mother's life, Woo Ri's stepbrother, Bong Ma Roo, goes after he promises to come back, but never. As Woo Ri grows up and looks for her stepbrother, she meets Cha Dong Joo young man from a wealthy family who is tortured by family secrets that he experienced as a boy. Although Dong Joo has lost his hearing in a childhood accident, he has learned to balance his disability so he can keep his deafness secret from his fellow human beings. Dong Joo and Woo Ri learn that they are connected to Ma Roo, who has assumed a new identity as Jang Joon Ha. How will the three reconcile their unexpected connection?
